New Flooring

Screw It, I’ll Fix It

🪵 New Flooring – Real Fix, Real Budget

Screw it — I’ll fix it.

My original flooring was stained straight into the foundation. Over time, the stain started to fade and patch, and the whole house began to look dull and worn — and i wasn’t about to dish out another few thousand dollars to redo them!

So I said, “Screw it, I’ll fix it! I’ll cover it!”

What I did:
✔️ Left the original flooring in place (no demo mess)
✔️ Installed vinyl wood-look flooring directly over it. Peel it, stick it!
✔️ Chose a warm wood tone to bring life back into the rooms
✔️ Laid it clean and tight so it looks intentional, not temporary

Here’s the part that matters:
💰 Total cost for FOUR rooms — under $300.

No contractor.
No fancy tools.
Just a decision to stop living with something I hated.

If something in your home is dragging everything else down, you don’t have to rip it out — sometimes you just cover it and move on.

To get the look, Amazon has it on sale right now at 20% off! Of course they would after I bought it. 🙄

🔧 Meet Donna 🔧

Hey y’all! I’m Donna—a power tool-wielding, lipstick-rocking, sass-slingin’ woman who’s not afraid to roll up her sleeves and fix what needs fixin’. After a divorce and a few too many “just call a man” suggestions, I decided screw that. I learned how to handle home repairs, wielded my first chainsaw, and never looked back.

Now I’m the founder of Screw It, I’ll Fix It, a blog dedicated to empowering women to take control of their homes, their lives, and their toolkits—no man required (but not banned either 😉).

Whether you’re single, stuck with a fixer-upper, or just tired of waiting on someone else to hang that dang shelf—I’ve got you. Let’s tackle leaky faucets, patch that drywall, and laugh through the chaos together.

Because being strong, self-sufficient, and a little sassy? That’s kind of my thing.
Now hand me the wrench, girlfriend.
